Zombie Corporate Facebook Pages

A follow up to yesterday’s post about the tendency of corporations to succumb to a shovelware approach in social media.  In other words to dump content designed for other media into Facebook unedited.  Dominic Jones of WebIR.com seems to agree that there is potential for genuinely new kinds of corporate communication in social media but that the rate of experimentation is currently very low.  He sees a strong future in “widgetized” IR content that can be embedded in stakeholders’ own pages.
